Getting Started
How do I get started with Sewa Care?
Call us, email us or fill in the referral form on this site. We respond quickly — often the same day. From there we arrange a free, no-obligation consultation to talk through what you need, then match you with a support worker. Most new clients have support in place within 24 to 48 hours.
Is there a cost for the first consultation?
No. The initial consultation is free and carries no obligation. We will talk through your needs and your funding, and if we are not the right provider for you we will say so.
Do I need a referral from a doctor or support coordinator?
No. Participants and family members can contact us directly. Support coordinators, plan managers, LACs and allied health professionals are also welcome to refer — the referral form on our contact page has fields for exactly that.
Our Services
Will I get the same support worker each visit?
That is what we aim for, and it is one of the main reasons people choose us. Consistency is how trust gets built. If your regular worker is unwell or on leave we will let you know in advance wherever possible.
How are your support workers screened?
Every support worker holds a current National Police Clearance, has completed the NDIS Worker Orientation Module and has all required fit-for-work checks completed before they meet a client. We do not send anyone to a client before that is done.
What if my support worker is not the right fit?
Tell us and we will change them. It is a completely reasonable request and you do not need to justify it. This matters most for personal care, where you can also ask for a male or female worker specifically.
How do I make a complaint?
You can raise a concern with us directly by phone or email and we will acknowledge it within two business days. You can also go straight to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission at any time — you do not need to come to us first, and doing so will never affect your support. Full details are on our feedback and complaints page.
NDIS
Are you a registered NDIS provider?
Yes. Sewa Care Australia is registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. That means we are audited against the NDIS Practice Standards, and participants with agency-managed funding are able to use us.
Costs & Funding
What types of funding do you accept?
NDIS funding of all three management types (agency-managed, plan-managed and self-managed), Home Care Packages, and private paying clients. If you are unsure what you are eligible for, ask us and we will point you in the right direction.
Does the NDIS cover transport?
Often, yes, but it depends on how your plan is written. Transport funding appears in plans in several different ways. Send us your plan details and we will tell you what we believe is claimable before you commit to anything.
Is there a lock-in contract?
No. There are no lock-in contracts and no minimum terms. Support is flexible and adapts to your plan, your family's schedule and your changing needs. If you want to stop or change your support, tell us.
Aged Care
What is a Home Care Package and do I need one?
A Home Care Package is Australian Government funding that helps older people stay living at home. There are four levels depending on assessed need. You do not need one to use our services — we also support private paying clients — but if you think you may be eligible, start with My Aged Care and we can help you understand the process.
Still have a question?
Call and ask. You will speak to a coordinator, not a call centre, and we are happy to answer questions even if you do not end up choosing us.
